newbie - coilover advice

hi guys, new to the forum, been looking around at the readers rides secton for a bit, but i only became a member last week!
Bought myself a 1.2 12V mk4 ibiza as a first car for when i'm 17 and have started to think about mods.

The car is currently in the bodyshop having a full respray to freshen it up, and get rid of scratches etc.

I've bought a set of 17" audi 6 spoke wheels and I've been looking at coilovers on the bay.
They are from a German company and cost £210 + £20 p&p which i thought was cheap.

Anyone on here got them on their car?

ive got these in my car as emergency coilovers as my fk ones completely **** them selfs

but there quite a good coilovers to be honest, ive had them in about 6 months now and dont seem to have any bother at all!

I'm in the middle of fitting V-Maxx coilovers. They ment to be a little softer than the AP's but it all depends on what you want realy.

Will do mate. I fitted the rears today but I didnt have the right size allan key at home to do the front, so they will have to wait till thursday/friday.

Got them from DPM who is a site sponsor clicky.

V-Maxx are £350 pluss £44 for shorter droplinks from DPM.

AP are £366 pluss delivery from Awsome-GTI

not really wanting to spend that much tbh, im still in school and dont have that much money to spend because i only have a part time job!

what do you think of the coilovers in the link above?

Seems ok for £210 + postage?

Not really worried and don't want a hard shocker, i just want it lowered and not too soft.

Search the forum for Hottuning, some people have had problems with leaking shocks etc etc.

done, seem to be mixed reviews, a lot of the leon guys seem to have problems, a lot of the mk4 guys think theyre ok, but a few have had problems aswell!?

You get what you pay for IMO.

I would class the V-Maxx ones I have gone for to be at the lower end of the market...
