Evening all just joined up

Currently looking to get a new car as I've been riding for about two years now without access to a car. So recently started looking at cars starting off with a Golf GTi (was my last one before getting the bike) subsequently outa my price range at the moment. Then it was the Polo GTi but again just a touch out, before reading up on the Seat Ibiza Cupra/Bocanegra.

Hoping I can read up on some info about the car before I make a possible purchase in the new year. Any advice would be greatly appreciated and welcomed especially if there are any great threads you can recommend.

That's all for now but I will keep you guys posted with any progress/questions

thanks

Hawk

like I say in all these threads

brilliant cars! owner from jap cars supra glanza V etc

dsg is unreal! super quick changes also fun
they look smart and can be modded very nice
great mpg I can get 45+ if I am been an ultimate granny!
cheap to insure and run
small hot hatch

SOME do drink oil..lucky mine does not drink a drip of oil... there is some lucky ones like my self but some do drink oil....

I want to get it mapped SO much but little bit sketchy in getting it done tbh but that is my opinion

peeps have had theres mapped for years and still going strong I have heard a map makes these more alive than they already are....

oh must is get bigger brakes but can do that for 230 all in new n all....

Troupy thanks for the reply.

I'm gaining more and more confidence in thinking this will be a good purchase. There's a local Cupra at a dealership I'm hoping to test drive to get an idea of what she's like. I'm hoping there's very little difference in the Cupra/Bocanegra? I'm probably going to go for the white but I most definitely want a panoramic sunroof. Any recommendations of the brakes suitable? or is that in your thread?

regards

no problem dude I like to give my opinion on these things!

yep very little the boc has the black front end/carbon bits inside/seats are different well the pattern/ might of missed odd little thing) other than that exact same as the Ibiza cupra...
I wanted the boc tbh as more rare also I have not seen 1 around my area altho only seen 1 cupra...

white is the best colour to go for :D
I wanted the panoramic version but hard to find.. also you can get other little specials on them like the ap big brake kit that is a optininol extra and they are awesome brakes but pricey...

you can get the 312mm brake set up if you check my thread or search there is loads of info on that but tbh there are a must they are really good and I would say do near enough the same job as bigger brand brakes! again imo! good thing is there like 230 quid for new discs and rebuilt calipers etc..

yea man check my thread out done quite abit to my boc...

also remove the sound actuator on these cars there stupid it is a fake sound car inside the cabin and they all seem to make a rattle sound come threw the speakers

Thanks troupy.

Not entirely sure what you mean by the sound actuator but I'm sure I'll find out sooner or later! I've checked out your thread and I have to say there are so many things I like about your Boc! The carbon rear diffuser looks superb!

Hopefully going for a test drive tomorrow in a cupra to see what the feel is like. Don't worry I won't be buying it... it's not the colour I want! :p
