Hi All

I was performing a scan of the car to check for any error codes and noticed both back doors failed to communicate with VCDS.

All functions work on both doors so I was wandering if anyone else has the same issue.

Thanks

How did you observe this failure?
Is there a fault code?

Hi,
I had a coolant warning light which has cleared so I was just giving the car a scan to check everything else.

Found by accident, no physical faults observed, I cannot even comminicate with the rear doors to check for a fault code.

If you expected to see control units for rear doors and thought there's a problem when you didn't see any, there's none for the rear doors. They are controlled by the ones in the front doors. Check live data on those for rear windows for example and you'll see that they are working.

Thank you for replying so quickly.
It only concerned me as VCDS reported a communication failure with the rear doors.

I've only communicated with my doors for that celebrated mirror drop in reverse which doesnt work since the Ateca isnt fitted with the correct positioning mirror, called that the "don test" on a board search any one interested. Pre occupation of some people wanting the mirror on the passenger side to drop to aid parking (wrong mirror and too high in anycase to see much).

Then once as I recall for one touch locking but by 2018/19 or so when the Cupra Ateca came in Seat had given up on the original long press on Kessy for mirrors in on locking bringing out the one touch setting which was always there but not coded on the early implementation of Kessy in Seats. Given that the Ateca is build in a Skoda factory wonder if they decided on the original weird way that Kessy was implemented until they saw sense and brought it into line with the Vag group or the Spanish decided long press on Kessy with your shopping and weekend bags rattling the panels was the way to go.🙄

Obdeleven here so never reported anything funny on my standard Ateca rear doors.
