No response from controller

I am running VAGcom on vista, & keep getting the error message NO RESPONSE FROM CONTROLLER. I have set it up to run as windows xp sp2. My test results show port and interface found, type serial pass through, opto/iso no, ross tech design no.
Can anyone help?

#1 What interface hardware are you using?
#2 What version of VCDS/VAG-COM are you using?
#3 Did you read the notes regarding Vista and that only versions 704 and newer support this operating system?
#4 What vehicle are you trying to work on?
#5 What does VCDS/VAG-COM > Options > Test say?
#6 Is the interface plugged in the car while testing?

Does anyone have the correct drivers?
I am working on a seat leon 2003, with version 409.1.
The cable is this one.

I have read the vista notes, and changed to run under xp sp2.

The test works OK, however I still get the no reponse from controller.

I am trying with the ignition lights on (engine off) and cable in PC/ car.

You should contact the supplier, he should be able to give you some proper drivers...
