Hey,
I have been using vag-com for a while now! When I came to use it yesterday with George 3G it couldn't pick up the controller! The port number is fine as we ran a Fault code test just before trying to access ( Select Control Module-46-Cent. Conv.) I'm trying to get into this because I want to change the way my car locks and unlocks!

I think this is where you go to align the throttle body, which I have done before no problem!!
Been looking for answers all over the net and all i can find is people saying to change the port! but it has been fine before why would i need to change the port number!

Can anyone help me on this! will be much appreciated, this didn't work on all 3 of our laptops! :(

Using Version ( 311-2 )

Thanks, Wayne

It's worth mentioning that you have accessed your controller ok before as you have lock/unlock chirp active. Also we managed to change some settings on the same controller (46 convnience) about half an hour before hand.

Did we! didn't even think we got into the Controller? sure that wasn't yours? When we tried it on mine it didn't work at all, not even first time!

I didn't mean yesterday. I meant at some point it has been accessed, otherwise how would the unlock / lock chirps be activated ;)

Have the same thing on a mate Passat 2.5TDI Controller 46 central conveniance seems to be off line, with the passat its common problem with water ingress from the battery area corroding the connections on the controller which is under the front passenger carpet area.

if you do a auto scan and 46 central conveniance is not among the controllers then it appears yours has gone off line as well, which could be connections/failure of the controller?

Did read where Uwe from Ross Tech (VCDS) replied in a reply to someone that controller 46 is buggy, and removing the fuse or power to the controller or disconnecting the battery for a short while was a fix ?

Make sure you have the radio code !!
