Noise only when engine is warm

Hello,

I have a Seat Leon ST (TSI 1.0) from 2019 bought 4 months ago (32000 Kms now). When the engine is hot (after driving at least 20 minutes) I hear a noise inside the car on idle. It isn't that rattling noise which is normal for this kind of engine (sewing machine), it sounds like something moving circular (like a belt or a chain) pulsing two times every second or so....

Can someone tell if this sound is normal? Sounds like a Diesel engine.

Have a look at this thread mate. Sounds very similar to your engine. Not sure if the engines share the same oil pump or not……

184hp making rattling noise at idle

Hi, My mk3 Leon 184hp is making a rattling noise at idle, if I rev to 1000 the noise goes. Car starts fine, drives fine. You can only hear the noise within the car with windows closed. I was messing with the timing belt cover and its a little loose. I did have timing belt changed 5000 miles...
