Nice induction kit

ADAM: I was gonna do a HID install when I did mine, but bad weather was quickly on its way, so I didn't. Might do one on my bros this weekend (even tho its a megane)

i didnt realise our air filters suffered strokes when its hot

btt, how much did that lot cost you ?

lol, well I know few people with open cones and they have said they've suffered it, but if you aren't, good for you! :)
Paid £60 delivered off another member on here. CDA kits are so expensive new I deff wouldn't pay like £150-£200 for one.

ps-edited my typo :D lol

hmm i would be tempted not to do it on the megan , as people not so well minded might get confused and blame you.

the best thing to do is to take the installation apart and re-fit it taking pics along the way (thats what i did with my sub / amp install)

sorry mate you obviously didnt see the bit i put in bold when i quoted you... you said the filter had a heat stroke.... when you meant heat soak.

i hate the standard airbox but not too sure how to go about freeing up the air movement (dont want a cheap airfilter but also dont have much money at all atm)

neither are mine... i cut them out with a 23mm hole cutter then cut another couple of bits out to make the connections go through!

biggest drill bit i had was about 20mm or summat lol. proper small compared to what it should be. next door had a rounded file, so i borrowed that to make it bigger :D

thats sounds fine to me :) nothing goes perfectly though...

i mean the next deffinate mod i have on my list is to make a new cover for my lower lights, they look good at the moment with the small hole but the light beam is diffused by the hole and it means i am not getting the proper spead of light i would like out of them....

i just need to find somewhere that can make me some curved perspex or clear plastic of some kind.

Going back to the induction kit, i just fitted the Green cotton open cone. It really does make a difference to the performance... i had a cheap ass "GT Tuning" (i know don't ask!) which was way smaller. You notice it from pick up through 1st,2nd,3rd but jus sounds good after that! I have two direct air feeds helping with the heat stroke... i mean soak, which seems to do a good job!

chris, BMC looks good mate. I didnt think that any filter would make a difference on our 1.4's

I'm also planning a bit of colour coding however should be early june before i can do it as will be on study leave from college then so aguide done by someone would be really useful

cheers Mike, nor did I but it certainly does which is a bonus lol. Yeh think colour coding is one for the near future :) btw, hows your zorst going?

yer going really good mate, am dead chuffed with it been showing it off lol going through tunnels opening it out... like a kid with his new toy :)

i know halfords do a piper backbox for 165 quid cuz looked into it buts its whether you want to go halfords or get a custom one done, in my opinion custom is the way to go as you can choose the set up you want

Right, latest mod. Fitted this earlier this morning. Shortened the throw quite considerably :D

nah, never planned on doin owt in first place lol.

at the mo I need to get new brake discs and pads, and fit window regulator. Also need to get nearside front wing fitted and sprayed.

other than that, i might colour code bumpers, and possibly look at cupra headlights.
