The guys who own this motor call it a Taxi as they are very happy to take people out for a trip round the track.

They cars came from Dubai along with a lot of spare parts and a long history of being used for many different uses very nice bunch of guys.

Another great day (for me) at Cadwell, lots of Rain but very enjoyable out on the track (when using Road Tyres)

Came across this Mk1, You will notice its a Left hand drive motor when I spoke with the owner he said it was a Factory Racing car and it was a very nice example

Then came across this Van, not sure it it is an anti theft setup ): or an unusual way to level the van on a slope

The leon is a supercopa. Its mk1 cupra4 shell so is ment to 4wd but they was all built 2wd. So the rear has independent rear suspension. Yep all lhd. Notice the added wings to the bumper. This is cos the supercopa is wider on the front
This is the proper seat was of doing it . But a few compays sell a wide version bumper.
They all have the same cage but they all have their own serial number .
They where built for a one make series that was race all over Europe. It used to follow the touring cars about. Much like the clios did .
Now the series has long gone not many of the cars are left standard. They mainly got played with to go off in to other series.
I do have the full parts catalogue for the supercopa haha
Things like the washer bottle had holes drilled in to the top and it was covered in to an oil catch tank.
All parts are marked seat sport. So had to be bought from north and south motorsport. You couldn't fit road going parts as they not marked sport. And then deemed illegal to use in the series. I will find a race from donnington and post it

Yes the guy who owns it (Nick Sanderson I think) competes in various historic VAG series and was very knowledgeable about the car and its history.
Further lucky so and so also owns a MK2 one as well

He is not normally a track day person so was very lucky to see it at cadwell.

He is based in Hull and does a lot of work on VAG motors.
