Ironically, I had been debating if I should do something similar and wondering how it would look

For most this is a hypothetical situation but I've experienced a broadly similar situation for real. Trust me, there is not one good thing about it. It's psychologically devastating and virtually impossible to deal with or recover from. Unless you're a better man than me ;0)

To get back on topic, I actually like the winter camo, although to be fair, it looks much more at home in a Finnish forest than it would look in the Lidl carpark on a Saturday morning
