Very nice pics fella

have recently come back myself went on the 20th of May, my first time on track and the ring and as you say it's fanbloodytastic......some fairly scary blind bends and amazing dips

Didn't manage to get any pics of my LC going round, did have a mate all set up with video and all but as we were queing up to go on an ambulace pulled off, light blaring, and they closed the track. Bloody BMW drivers, my mate with the camera saw the whole thing but didn't video it !
Best I had was a few pics of me car in the carpark and a ring sticker.

But will be organising a trip next year, gotta be done.......especially as I still have 3 laps left on my ring pass (apparently valid for a year, well fingers crossed)

Roll on may

Mate the pass is valid for a year so you'll be ok. I can't wait to get back over there myself.

Just before you go in May email Jochen at www.frozenspeed.com to see if hes going to be at Ring on the days that you go (he almost always is), just tell him what car your in. He's very well known is one best photographers over there. Email him after and for a small fee he will email you your picture/s in high res (if he snaps you that is).

I paid 25 euros for two photos, which I think is a damm good price for a pro!

Anyway hope that helps a bit mate.

Roll on September!!!!!!!!!!!! :clap::clap::clap:

Those pics looks great, am going myself on the 7th/8th July for the second time, and I think getting some pics taken would be really good!

Hey guys lots of good info there about the ring, a mate of mine has just moved to frankfurt to become a jurgen and ive said to the lads we have have got to go visit him and i thought hmmm where abouts is the ring and to my joy its enroute!!

so of course i gotta go, but a few questions

1. do you have to phone and book because i imagine its not open to the public everyday?

2. did you get any insurance cover, because obviously normal policy wont cover this or did you brave it?

3. i have an 04 lcr with revo to 268bhp any ideas how i will get on with my mate in germany whose eyeing up a s2000 as his toy, or indeed with any of the other stuff that'il be there?

4. what sort of wear noticable wear did you have afterwards you had had a good 'ringing' (parden me) ive just had a 40k service with new ebc front discs and ferrodo pads from badger 5, back tyres are relativley fresh but fronts are half worn

any feedback would be appreciated

Most of the info you need is here: http://www.nurburgring.org.uk/

1. No you don't have to phone and book, you just buy a ticket from a machine that gives you so many laps, drive round to the barrier, insert ticket and unleash a huge grin and your right foot.

2. Didn't bother with insurance myself, even though I'd only had the car 3 months, my risk. Although i did see an 07 scuby being trailered away after it had hit the barriers and thought to myself that maybe I should've

3. unless you know the track I'd be very careful and no gran turismo doesn't quite prepare you enough. Mind you i did see an old diesel polo and a tour bus going round so you'll prob be alright, lol

4. I only went round 3 times (somebody crashed and they had to close it the day I was there) and didn't notice much obviously........then again I've only got about 210bhp so prob won't smoke the tyres as much as yourself

looking at the site it says you cant just turn up as they have event days etc, but looking at it on youtube i must say it does look like the most fun you can have with you clothes on!!

are they're many of the derestricted autobahns enroute where you can have a little blatt first of all?

looking good mate,

when you going in august?? you coming with the forum?? went last year and it was class.

im going in september, been a few times now, never in the LCR though, looking forward to it, just orded new tyres and brakes ready for the trip.

great pics.

been having 1 or 2 second thoughts about the ring i know its a once in a lifetime trip but was talking to a mate who was saying if your are going to do a track day wouldnt you rather do a shorter track so you can learn the bends so you can actually race something, which does make sense as id be travelling from the midlands to get to the ring, what do you recon guys?

its a different experiance to a normal track day. you will find on your first trip that you wont hammer it, (you think you will be though) and yes you will go back, ive got mates that travel from scotland to do the trip, its all worth it, you shouldnt have second thoughts.

I'd agree with Nev, i hadn't done a track day before I went. just make sure you have someone in the car to act as a spotter to tell you when to get out of peoples way
