Octane - how many points equate to a RON?

Octane Boosters.........

Millers CVL Turbo adds up to 4 RON, NOS Racing Formula adds up to 7 Points.
How many points equate to 1 RON?

I've tried CVL Turbo with excellent results, has anybody tried NOS Racing Formula?
Its a lot more expensive than CVL Turbo though at £19.99 (RRP) against around £7.50.

just get yourself some C12 whatever that is...
vortexers seem to achieve mucho horsepowero with that stuff. (must be akin to rocket fuel )

Yeah, think the K03s is at its limit so looking towards timing for that little bit more seeing as theres a meet at Crail a week on Sunday

Yeah, its a fair old way. It was either a RR day at Power Engineering or 1/4mile at Crail. Both around the same milage but in opposite directions.
Seeing as I've been on the dyno a few times now I thought it was about time I tried drag racing.

why not spend the weekend at inters instead? 2 days of 1/4 mile action plus your guys(jbs) will be there! 220 mile round trip

Nice idea but it'll be way too busy I guess, a nice easy paced trip to Scotland sounds much more appealing.
Hopefully I'll also get chance to get more than a couple of runs in!!

10 octane points = 1 RON.

Many thanks Rob, I've seen NF mentioned so many times but have always drawn a black when it came to sourcing the stuff.

BTW how much did you add to a tank of Optimax?

TSR performance down my way sell race fuel and deliver it if i am reading there web site right. Is Santa pod fuel with vat or not just comparing prices not that it makes any difference to me since i am only a poor diesel burner.

I finally got hold of a bottle, its 1 bottle per full tank of fuel.

According to Roger Clark (whom I asked about the dosage), they said that as a general guide, for fast road use 1/3 of a bottle per tank and for trackdays use 1/2 a bottle per tank of Optimax.
