odd stereo display

Hi guys and girls. I've been experiencin some wierd behaviour from the display on my stereo on my mk3 cupra.
It all started with the display not turning off as it should when i remove the key from the ignition, it now doesn't display the correct temperature etc etc. I've had to resort to removing the fuse from the bloody thing every time i park up for any length of time!
Any help or advise u could give would be much apprecaited!

radio unit itself is knackered then the outer temp sensor will go

i was thinkin that might be the case! so u reakon i'll have to just bite the bullet and try to find a replacement unit then?

definatly sounds like a shafted unit, £70 down the local dealer for a refurbed one but u have to trade yours in. This recently happened on a mates one
