I have recently fitted the forge 008 Recirc valve but I'm unsure about it as I've heard mixed reviews with people saying that the OEM Bosch are better? Is there any truth in this?

The Bosch one is a diaphragm valve, the Forge is a piston.

The Bosch can deteriorate with age, but is unlikely to throw up any fault codes.

The Forge is supposedly better at holding boost and will last forever. Anyway, I'll find out myself soon since I've just ordered a 008

I have the 008 fitted and ive had no problems with it (touch wood)

Im running standard at min but will be upgrading to mods in next few months

I just wanted to try it last night at work out of curiosity lol and now i know for a fact that it will be changed back tonight,i have a Full Milltek,Decat non resonated system,Stage one map 270-275 bhp, uprated coils,Open cone with heatshield and a Forge oversized TIP(oh and soon to have the Forge 008 soon)ha ha

Fitted the 008 last night and my old Bosch one must have been shot, because it's now a rocket. Makes a nice whoosh as well. I'm on only 30k, so like the N75, it seems the DV just deteriorates with age regardless of mileage.

Could someone tell me the difference between the Forge 007 and 008 as they are both list for the 1.8T
thanks_Sorry I've found out the 008 is a newer design and comes with additional springs.

I'm running a Turbosmart Kompact Plumb-back on my LCR and tbh it puts my old Forge 007P to shame. Tolerance fit piston so no leaky seals possible, it operates better (piston moves smoother and certainly feels like it opened and closed quicker), has reduced my spiking and if I'm honest it sounds better too (not that important to me though). Can't compare it to the 008 though or the Bosch one (as mine failed hence fitting a 007P).

Turbosmart I hadn't heard of them, do you have a part number? Anyone else tried one?
