A lot of the Audi / vw alloys have an offset of 35 , will these fit, or are they too far out in the arches ??

offset is only one thing which depents on. Second is rim´s wide ( in inches)

Factory fitted wheels aro following:

(5x112)

17x7" ET 54 (stock FR)
18x 7,5" ET 51 (Cupra and options for FR)

Other offsets and rim´s wide can be easily calculated ;)

Whatever goes up to 1.5 cm out of arches against standard configuration is mostly smooth and doesnt cause any problem.

Rear axle fit even more then 1.5 cm. But this is about trying and see what will happen :)

in compared to et345

the lower the et the more they will stick out.
the higher the et the more they go in.

but then as said above it can depend on width
a 7inch wide et35 alloy would stick out less than a 8.5inch et40 alloy, as offset is taken from the centre of the alloy. so even though the extra 5mm on the offset brings the wheel in, the extra inch and a half on the width takes it back out again.

so on on on

right, so taking all into account , would this be fine?

18x 8 - 5x112 ET40

No rubbing issues at all. If you look really carefully at the rear tyre you will see no damage or wear marks.
An eight inch wheel with an et of 40 will sit 5mm further into the arch ( the smaller the et, the further the wheel will sit out, all other things being equal)

yes.. It would be fine !! its allways better to get wheels which ET values are little bit higher than the lowest that it could be, cause later you can install spacers , if you want to change that "ET" further...

8x18"ET 40 will be on "edge". Definitely dont take whatever under 40 in ET. This will be perfect for rear axle, but Im not sure, how it will goes with front axle.

I have got 48 ET (8x18) and it fits for front perfect, but for rear, therere is about 10mm to go.

Let us know, how they fit on yours.
