Hi all,
I’ve got a 2014 Seat Leon Mk3 1.2 TSI and it seems to be using a lot of oil. My recent MOT didn’t show any obvious leaks, apart from a bit of oil around the rocker cover. There are no oil spots on the ground, emissions are fine, and there’s no visible blue or black smoke from the exhaust.
I’ve switched to 5W40 and the car runs well, but it’s not very economical at the moment with the amount I’m spending on fuel.
To give an idea of the oil consumption: I topped it up with 4 litres, and within 35 days the oil light came back on.
Has anyone experienced something similar? Any advice would be much appreciated.
