oil leak and breather hose split

hi, i am new to the cupra engine, i was looking around the engine bay, and noticed a hose was split, searched this up and it was confirmed that its was the breather hose, i noticed oil around this section, especially the dump valve. i taped the breather hose up, untill i order a new hose.

just to add, at mornling start up, its idles at above 1k, at lowers below 1k after a min.

Don't order a new one from the dealer, go for a silicone jobbie

thanks for the reply, but what do you mean secondary air pump?
i also found some oil below the breather on the top of the geabox

Probably just leaked down. I'd order a silicone replacement when you can, clean up all oil you can see once its fitted, and see if it comes back. If so, its a different hose leaking

cheers for the help, will do that, i also been reading up on rocker gasket, something about the seal. But i try the breather hose method first.
