It's the light in the main cluster with the oil can pic. I've had the red coolant light flash and beep at me before which just required topping up. So its not that.

I've just dropped it into my local garage just to take a bit out. Sooner rather than later. Still getting it looked at and serviced by specialist.

Well the oil level is back to where it should be. The local garage drained some out. So at least I can breath a. little easier now. They didn't charge anythingwhich was nice of them.
taking it into Volkscraft tomorrow to be serviced.

If you did a search before posting, you'd find that I had a very similar case not long ago!

Mine did flash exactly four times at each startup - faulty sensor you say?

Solution:
The connector plug at the oil sensor at the bottom of the sump was loose!

worth having a look at befor spending ££ at a garage, have them do the same!

Hope this little tip fixes it!!

I did do a search but didn't come across your post.

The local garage I took it to drained the excess oil from the sump so may have connected any loose connections in the process.
However it does need a service anyway as it has been 6 months.

okay, thought you might need this tip anyway!

just removed the reason why two warning lights were lit the other day. First one was oil connector olug, second was worn brake pads - same issue - loose wires. Glad to see those kinds of failures from time to another as well! :)

No its a good tip defo. At least its not a red flashing light with beeps. I dread those. Even the low fuel warning scares the crap out of me everytime it goes off.

I doubt it, chances are they put a pump down the dipstick tube and pumped some out.

Well I did ask if they could siphon it out and he said he would put it over the pit and drain it from the sump. Either way its at a low risk level and with it being serviced tomorrow it should sort it. Fingers crossed.

I also think the brake discs and pads are due. I hope they last a bit longer so I can arrange sourcing some. Not sure whether to go standard and drilled/groved.

I've got exactly the same issue so I hope this fixes it, will try and report back.

I've just dropped car off and he plugged his box of tricks in and straight away a faulty sensor popped up. Phew!

Got the car back yesterday afternoon and all is well again. New sensor, pollen filter, oil and fluids changed. £245. A couple of advisory things but nothing major.

What sensor was replaced? I have the warning light on my LC everytime I switch the ignigtion on

What's the name of the sensor so I can check out prices
Thanks
