Solution:[/B] The connector plug at the oil sensor at the bottom of the sump was loose!

worth having a look at befor spending ££ at a garage, have them do the same!

Well I checked the wiring and plug and they seem fine so hopefully it's a faulty sensor...
 
I had this problem, when I first brought my Leon, so i brought a new 'SEAT OIL PRESSURE SWITCH' from Ebay think was around £5, replaced that, and touch wood haven't had any problems since.

otherwise it maybe your 'oil sump level sensor', which should be around £20-30, but wouldn't advise changing this on your parents drives as all the oil will spill out!?
