Oil pressure light operation

Hi Guys,

Can anyone with a 2.0 TDI Sport Leon tell me whether or not their oil pressure light comes on with the ignition, then goes out after starting the car. Since I got my Leon the oil light has never come on when the ignition is turned on, but i don't know whether its supposed to like most cars do or not.

Are you referring to the Oil Can light that comes on when you switch on the engine? If I remember correctly comes on and then goes off once the engine has started.

Thats the one. Think either my oil pressure switch is faulty or the bulb has blown behind the dash for the oil light.
