oil pressure light

Hi all I am new to this sight I bought a leon cupra r 225 a couple of months ago low miles and good condiction> Any way 4 weeks into ownership it came up with oil pressure light and topend started to tick car was turned off and taken into garage where it was found to have a choked oil pickup pipe so that was unblocked and I also had a new oil pump fitted and the engine was flushed twice they said they checked the bearings and had no play or signs of damage so car was put back together and I picked it up 2 weeks ago I drove it 70 miles home with no issues at all car is quieter than it ever was. So I took it out yesterday done 54 miles and the lights back on turned car off sat for a bit then just thought bugger it al drive it to it breaks as I had my kids with me and had to get home so I did 11 miles it starts flashing then stops then back on then stops then stayed on so I stopped car was still silent no noises or rattles but my management lights on so I pluged in my vagcom and its showing faulty cam sensor I reset this and the oil pressure light stayed off I drove for 45 minutes after this on country roads to I got home and the car is still silent no funny noises or rattles so I have ordered a cam sensor also oil pressure sensor and oil level sensor as I think it may have a faulty sensor. Sorry for the long novel just wanted to explain in fool detail what happened and any help or advice on the issue really is appreciated

Hi mate, welcome to the site. I think you've ordered the right things, i'd change them all over and then see what happens.

Hi matty thanks I hope that's all it is as I have done everything else just find it strange I reset the cam sensor fault and the oil light didn't come back on. Thanks for your reply

Yeah that is wierd.I can't see any relationship between the 2 things, so maybe it's just coincidence. Let us know how you get on once you change the sensors.

Yeah I will do I think I will take sump off again just to be safe as its very annoying and itl give me piece of mind to matty

Is this the red light that flashes up on the temp gauge or the actual oil can symbol.
