Yesterday I had an oil service completed and I know its my own fault I should have checked but when I got home on the service indicator there is a report - that the service was due 2 days ago now I have checked how to cancel the report but the service indicator also indicates an "Inspection in 311 days - 14000 miles"

The Cupra dealer is not local as I had it done whilst down at my caravan so I don`t particularly want to travel to return to them but If I cancel the report will it cancel all of it including the next service requirement indication.

Anyone know the answer - Don`t you just love the expert main dealers!

Can anyone shed any light on this - I had my Forrmentor VZN 1st oil service done last June by a local Cupra dealer and they used 0W 30 long life oil and now I have just had the second oil service done by another Cupra dealer and they have used Mobil 5w 30 oil - on the slam panel there is a label that says 0w 30 oil so I queried this with the dealer and the reply I got back from their mechanic was 5w 30 oil is the same as 0w 30 oil (no it isn`t) not only that but I checked on the Mobil website and they recommend 0w 30 oil also on every single oil brand I checked they all recommend to use 0w 30 oil.

What `s going on which oil should be used as the car is under warranty?

The recommendation of 0w 30 oil by Cupra the manufacturer and Mobil, Castrol, Shell, Total, Comma, BP etc or the mechanic who obviously thinks 5w 30 is better!
