Im probably gonna buy some jamex lowering springs from ebay for the mk4 golf, i searched on here and found they will fit fine,

Whats peoples opinions on Jamex.

Thanks! :)

I'm not 100% sure but all I can say is i've heard from a few people that they are not very good. I've never experienced them, but thats what i've heard in the past from some people.

well they are only £55, there is a guy on here selling a set from a mk4 golf, think they H&R ones, but i cant get a reply from him so thats why ive been looking elsewhere.

Just dont really want to spend alot to be honest.

Just my opinion but for important chassis components like springs id buy a better brand thats tested to destruction like eibach which will work well with oem dampers. Do it once and do it right

sorry to hijack this but it saves me posting another topic

whats considered to be a safe drop with just springs and still be able to get over speed bumps? 30mm? i like the idea of -50mm but i struggle to get into shopping center mulitistories at standard height lmao

Ive just checked this, if the leon and golf mk4 have the same chassis set-up same engines etc... the price for jamex springs for the leon is £76 -40mm, and the golf £55 -35mm, thats shocking the difference in price considering there the same lol (- the 5mm difference).

I think most kits are quoted for standard cars so 30mm on an lcr is more like 10-15mm but i think the 50mm kit will run into driveshaft knocking issued on the ARB but dont quote me on it.
