ive an orange light on my dashboard thats lit up, a guy at a garage said its a faulty o2 meter in my exhaust. any idea how to fix this, ie change the sensor(where is it) or is it repairable?

And the multi blocks are located in the little black box thats held on with 2 10mm plastic nuts on the drivers side of exhaust.

Yep, some dodgy exhaust places don't replace the heat wrap for the wires either and the heat causes the wires to go brittle and break up.

i've got the same fault lights goes on and off all the time, it happens in patches. Still haven't bothered to get it fixed!

ask the guy to give you the fault code and post it on this thread mate....

lambdas are an easy fix, but youd need to know which one is faulty.

vagcom will confirm which one it is.

lamdbdas iirc are circa 80quid??

bit of an old post.. but i have same problem - the guys who r*ped me £40 quid to diagnose it want another 120 for the sensor and 40 for fitting... anyone near huddersfield want to help me out - find out which one it is then replace? LOL...
Im starting to dislike the problem with this car, they're never EVER cheap
