our engines

for a bloke at work who recon our engine is different. what other car is our 1.8 20v turbo engine in please.
the dont believe me that our engine is the same as the 1.8 t out of a golf.

There are several breeds of the 1.8T, see below for more info:

MK3 Ibiza is AQX and AYP

its the same basic engine, with some minor changes, mainly the larger port head, and the engine management

its the same as the audi a3 and tt, the skoda octavia vrs and the golf gti.

obv theres bits and bobs that are diff but its the same basic engine i believe

Loads of cars in the VAG group use the 1.8T, there are slight changes here and there but its basically the same engine.
