Outside temp sensor

Any one know where this is on a 1999 cupra? Ive recently changed the temp sensor and for some reason the outside temp reading on the dash is now always in the negative.
Anyone else had a similar issue?

I think they're in the driver's side wing mirror, if it's the same as most other cars

The sensor is located under the plastic trim by the wiper linkage. Its a little drum like sensor located on a fork prong.
