Don't let your child's seat wreck your leather

Just some advice for those with newborns - my boy's child seat has wrecked the leather rear seat. Wish I'd protected it somehow although I was nervous about putting anything underneath the child seat in case it compromised safety.

But in this week's autoexpress there's a small article on a new seat cover specifically designed for the job - may be worth checking out.

I've got one of these for each car.

They stop the child seats digging into the seat and it also has some pockets on the front to keep the car tidy.

Got it from somewhere called jojomambebe IIRC

Even for those without leather seats, child seats wreak havoc on the upholstry.... I recently moved my ickle ones seat to clean behind it, to be confronted with bits of crayon, crisps, evidence of milky bar buttons, all of which had become nicely squished under the seat...

thank god for my bissel. :D

we've got a throw in our back seat, stops all the cack and stops the kiddies getting burnt in the summer,i hate leather.
i doubt it comprimises safety,no thivk than a seat cover, and tucks in well underneath, and i can't budge our seat once its locked in

:p I am not making any comment about the front of the car or how the guy that did my last valet made a comment about it being a typical woman's car..

as that would take another thread off topic...:p

Mine are older but once I knew ISOFix was in the car, there was no doubt thats what I was having..
Info.. http://www.childcarseats.org.uk/standards/isofix.htm

Britax Duo Plus (I think) for babies
http://www.icbaby.com/pages/carseats/britax_duo_plus_isofix.htm
then Jane Indy Plus once they are older.. I did a full review on this, think its in Members Reviews?

Why let the seatbelts take the strain when you can anchor the seat directly to the car itself? I wouldn't buy a car without isofix now... Pug 206's for example aren't fitted with them.
