They're heavy wheels (when compared with modern, forged/lightweight alloys) but they're practically indestructible, and look great on the Leon IMO

I'd go for 18"s though ;)

There are definitely a couple of variations - poss WRC / non-WRC ??

but you'd probably need some spacers with those, which is added expense & hassle

I've got 18 x 8J ET35

I'm running 10mm spacers on the front to clear the coilovers (the 225 tyres on them catch the locking rings against the sidewall) ... which fortunately makes them sit really nicely in the arches too, but means it's a bit of a PITA to centre them up properly

I would think you'd probably be looking at 20-25mm spacers with a thinner tyre, which shouldn't cause you a problem, cos at that size you can get proper hub-centric spacers which means you'd be fitting the wheels to the spacer excatly as you'd fit them onto the hub normally - but you're looking an extra £60+ onto top of the price of the wheels and tyres

ahh ok i think the tyres are 215 width.. aslong as it is dooable.. how abouts if you get alloys with say 5x108 ? i have seen alot of people getting pcd adaptors .. is that just the same as using spacers ?? just changes the pcd also ?? .. i know this is more pricey but again if the wheels are the right price

Think I know where you're going with this...

just keep an eye on that offset ! If you get re-bolt spacers, you're probably looking at least 20mm thick... so if you get some wheels in a std fitment, you'd end up with an offset of about ET15... which will stick out a country-mile

probably a good idea to look at what's available (from a hub adapter point of view - cos not all fitments will be), cost up the various options, find some alloys & then carefully work out how they'll fit to the car

if in doubt, post on here somewhere for some photos to get an idea of how it will look

why scooby forums? - this probally sounds like a dumb question to those who know.

Oh, because Subaru have the same stud pattern (5 x 100mm) and usually they're into the OZ multi-spoke wheels like Superturismos/'leggeras

...and some/most of the Imprezas have the same ET35 offset, but apparently one (or more) don't - so it's worth checking

Yup * :D

* only problem I had was that they're wide wheels - mine are 8", which was fine with normal struts as the spring cups sit above the height of the wheel/tyre, but the coilover locking rings sit halfway up the tyrewall... and some idiot garage wrecked a brand new pair of tyres not putting the spacers on and failing to notice significance rolling resistance

I'm pretty sure these wheels are actually light as I had a set on my old 106

I reckon thats actually 23lbs which is just over 10kg?

They wouldn't be 23kg unless they were made of lead......my big heavy RS6 reps were only 16kg and they were super heavy.
