Hi guys

Sadly my car has thrown up another fault.
The fault light came on tonight after a trouble free day of driving.
Car seems fine.

Anyway plugged my reader in and get.

P1116 Oxygen Lambda sensor heating B1 S1 open circuit, static no indication on display.

Can anyone tell me what this means and what I need to do to fix it?

Thanks

Mike

When the car is cold it's not looking for a signal - but once warm it will do.

Either a duff sensor, or a duff wire.

Hi, OK I hope its just the heater part that has failed, after all that is what the fault reads.
Which I hope means I can drive the car until I can get it fixed Thursday next.
Could well be a wire but I was not able to check myself, too well hidden LOL

Yeah, might be a little jerky once warm & may over use fuel but it's fine for a few days

Hi, OK all done, took it to JKM this morning and they had it fixed in an hour.
Cost £188.57, :-( it was the sensor.
I really hope I may now be able to drive this car to other places and not just garages!
