hi Stef, you will need to prime it first. Plastikote super primer from B&Q works v well. You will need a colour matched can of colour coat, you may be able to get that at halfords or you local SEAT dealership. 3 thin coats of primer will do, let it dry overnight then scuff it off gently with 1200 grit wet&dry before spraying the colour. Several thin coats of colour are better than one thick coat. Let it dry for a good few hours or preferably overnight then shine it up with some Tcut. You will need to devise some way of supporting the mirror shell while your spraying it and letting it dry as there's no way of putting it down with the paint wet. I have just done mine along with door handles. See below:

Good Luck!

They arent easy to remove from your car but, if you have one from the dealers you have half the job done ! Its pretty easy to spray up but, as the pieces are quite fiddly to support Grotmeister's shelf suggestion is brilliant. You wont get a factory gloss so dont try to apply the lacquer thickly. Thin layers are best and you could try warming the initial parts up with a hairdryer 1st to make sure the paint sticks on.

just done mine and the mirrors I found are a bit of a pig just cos they're awkward shapes. Had to re do the lacquer as I stuffed it up the first time and its no where near perfect now but will do.

As said thinner coats are miles better than thick ones - don't be tempted to keep spraying.

wash it, shouldnt need to primer as it should be primed from dealer, then a couple of layers of colour, leave to fully dry, rub down with 1200/1500 (I used wet wet and dry paper), wash, then a couple of layers of lacquer. Wash again and leave for a while to harden fully.
