In the garage
Goodmorning everyone, lastnite when i go home & closed my passenger window it seem to struggle alot as it got to the top then got stuck & wouldnt fully close so i took it down then back up but it seemed to get stuck inthe same spot so i left it & went to bed. When i got to work this morning i said let me try it again & to really piss me off it fell down the 1 side into the door & i belive its come off the rail on the one side. Has anyone had this problem before?

Yes!!! I currently have this problem now and have put a topic on the forum with the same query.

To shut it you have to ask someone (Use your toe) to depress the electric window button whilst grabbing both sides of the window to gently push it up to itsclosed position. Its a bummer when your mates open the window without asking first.

can confirm this is a window regulator, my passanger one went on the M56 last weekend, scared the **** out of me when it just dropped down into the door while doing 70/80mph, nearly blew me off the motorway with how windy it was as well !!

lucky the gf was with me so she could hold it up, she wasnt too please though after 10mins or so of holding up a window,

piece of piss to change, get the part for stealers and change it yourself

EDIT: if you took your door card off, removed insulation so you can see the window inside the door, pull the window up and their will be a metal cable snapped i reckon

Aside from this main issue - is anyone able to operate their passenger side switch with one touch up/down like you can on both driver's door switches?

I've tried training it by holding it for 10 secs down and up but this hasn't made any difference. Just wondering whether you should be able to have this feature on the passenger side or not?

only driver side controls are 1 touch

so why does my dealer want £120 for regulator? my passenger window is stuck closed.

hmm thats annoying! £120 for one is a rip off, say to them that down here on the south coast they can get them for £100, then our local seat takes 10% off prices for us because we are SCN :D

my window was stuck open, count yourself lucky!

no idea, mine was only about £60 iirc (not got receipt to hand) and that was from the stealers....

looks like you had your pants pulled down mate !

They would of been if i would have bought it. Was clever in the sense i will look around for one. I aint paying 120. And he did say something about the plug on it changed on a certain yr
