Hi just recently bought a candy white mk2 leon black edition btcc.

This is my first non ford having owned a few
  • fiesta 1.8 diesel
  • escort mk 5 1.6
  • fiesta mk 5 1.6 zetec s
  • escort mk 4 rs turbo running 180 bhp
  • fiesta mk 3 1.1
  • fiesta mk3 rs turbo running 220 bhp
  • focus mk1 1.8
  • fiesta mk 6 zetec s
  • focus mk1 st 170
  • focus mk2 st 225 in orange running 300 bhp
  • mondeo st tdci estate

so after a 6 month hunt for a leon mk2 with the btcc kit on in white, the only colour i wanted, found one eventually with 44k on the clock and the added bonus of seat bbs black alloys, really pleased with the car, gave it a quick wash today as the previous owner left it under a willow tree and he wasn't the best at cleaning, all of the door shuts were covered in tree sap and leaves.

I had a mk2 focus st-3

Completely hated it!
Owned it for 4 weeks then passed it on! Big mistake wont be buying ford again

Glad you've seen sense though ;)

Just didnt get on with it

Had the oil sensor problem? Sounded like a ufo? Cant remember exactly the issue
A pillar view was horrendous
Wasnt overly quick for the running cost
And lock to lock on the rack was terrible

Yeah I know where your coming from, I am hoping once the leons mapped it will be quicker than a standard focus st

Got some nice bits in the post this week, some carbon fibre door sills from benjic2 and a linea r grill off ebay for the bargain price of £32 lol, will hopefully fit at the weekend.

Also ordered a darkside developments egr valve and cooler delete, cant wait to fit this as a dpf delete and remap will follow

Lovely car! Shows that waiting around for the car you want pays off in the end

Car doesn't need to be lifted to fit the short shifter. Best mod foe money imo. Love it. Once you get the remaps ect it should be faster than a st but will feel a lot faster thanks to the torque lol.
Iv also been looking at the egr delete but can't seem to pinpoint the actual benefit?? More power? If so how much? More mpg? If so how much ........ also would you need to remap it soon after fitting it or is it just a case of a dash light coming on?

One last question mate. Would a standard remap turn off the egr or would you need to pay more?
Thanks mate.

Ps car looks great :)

With the cooler delete it was £105 inc vat and delivery, from what I have read its ok to drive around but it does bring on the eml light on until you det it mapped out with a remap.

Debating weather to go to shark for their remap plus dpf delete instead of amd
