pd130 complete loss of boost/limp mode?

Lat night, I pulled onto the motorway and gave the car some beans. Took her up to 100 mph then slowed back down to 80ish. The car pulled well with no noticeable problems.

A few minutes later, I went to accelerate and there was nothing, the car had little to no torque, so I dropped it down a gear, but there was no gain in torque.

There are no dash lights on, I had a look under the bonnet, and all the hoses seem to be on (although the crappy clips on them are not holding them tight), and no smoke or strange noises. Just no boost, like in a limp mode

Any ideas, seems like this may be a common problem, so what are the solutions?

ok. just took the car for a drive after leaving it all night, and all is fine!
The car boosts up properly and performance is normal

Does this make any sense to anyone? Should I still get the fault codes read by a dealer?

Afraid its probably the Turbo. My pd130 is being fixed for the same problem,common with these engines. It's to do with the veins in the Turbo sticking-the car detects the problem and goes in to limp mode before huge damage is done. The turbo can be cleaned etc but usually that just prolongs the inevitable...a new turbo.

How do you go about cleaning them out, I assume you have to remove it to do that?

Whats the approximate costing of a new turbo for these then?

Get the turbo really hot. Prolonged high revs in third gear will do it. Try that half a dozen times and generally it'll burn the soot off.

Then give the car a regular thrash to keep the soot from building up.

Sticking vanes wont mean a new turbo. Worst case is stripping it off and cleaning them up.
