Its all down to the tuner, to get over 200bhp it needs time and a bit of fine tu ning.
i use the same RR for all my mods. When i had allards turbo and mapping my car produced only 198bhp, i since took off the turbo( as it was faulty) and put a turbodynamics stage 2 on and had chipped IRE ( chipped UK) to do the fine tuning, he sent me the files by email and i used a ecu flasher to upload.

My car now produces a smooth 220bhp with hardly any smoke, and yes the RR is accurate, octy1 vrs were producing 179bhp-183bhp and when i had revo it produced 170bhp which was spot on all on the same rr.

@redcupra if you car is producing 215bhp on standard turbo it wont be long before your turbo pops again.

tbh i think it its 205bhp that was consistant...the torque is most impressive thing.
 
Never checked, which logs on vagcom would tell? A lot of my map is based on timing adjustments etc, also done a camshaft retard. I believe some maps( i wont mention) are just fuel dumps and boost.
 
If i look in ETOS for the partnumbers then they are both the same.
But now my tuner claims that the PD160 has different injectors.
It's hard to get my ibiza FR tdi over 200hp even with all my mods and this doesn't seem right to me:shrug: .

What do you guys think about it...are they the same or not?

Just thought, go into your measuring blocks on vagcom in the ECU , go into block 4( i think) and check the last digit on the right to see what it reads at engine idle. You may be in + figures which limits the ultimate horsepower, if it is you need to retard the camshaft timing until its at about -2 at idle you will then get better results for tuning.

My mapper must have have changed at least 8 of the files during my 3 visits to set my car up. I'm well happy with the way the car goes now - boost set at 1.6bar with two other maps in the ecu set at 1.35 and 1.55 bar;)
 
HHmm just found this thread, and yep my car isnt running correctly. I have spoken to allards several times since, and am gonna send my printouts to them via email. The head mapper (miguel) is over towards the later part of this week iirc, so they will have a look at them, and decide what can be done, if the fueling etc cn be increased. Also does anyone know how i could tell if my maf has gone? just something that they mentioned before, so want to check that out aswell. But no im not happy at all with only making 193 fcuking bhp.so we shall see once its sorted.
Anyways the car will be up for sale shortly once ive rang seat to get a settlement figure.
 
i din't mean that in a bad way spainels fr....but they should be able to get more power shame we could of tried my MAF on your car on the second run.

uh well you live and learn...petrol for real bhp ;)

think i'm going to get a 1.8T/2.0T IHI or BT in something when i'm 25

I also want my map changed as I think there is more to come(not runing much more boost the standard chip)

how do you know this?

I've heard about lots of standard turbo go before,

does any one know any other 160pd remapped to go onto the rolling road and power outcome?
seen a few in Europe make 210bhp from a remap also upsolute quote 207bhp so it isn't that unbelievable for me to get 215bhp from one with 30k+ on the clock.

also done vag com logging and actual boost was just 1.6-1.65 bar. and i get hardly any black smoke in fact Flashbsd said a standard cupra tdi smoked more than mine.

might just have a real good engine and getting good power,
 
what you mean like 183 bhp and about 300 lbft torque
when it should be loads more

That's the same boost as a mapped 130 ;)

I was always told SMOKE is GOOD ;)

No smoke in a tuned diesel is not good?

Anyway I guess it's all down to the mapping!
