Hi people I own an 06 plate audi a3 2.0l tdi sport yes I know it's not a Leon but same engine
BKD engine code

Basicly when on idle the car has a slight engine judder. The revs don't move at all plus if u put foot on or off the clutch it makes no diffrance at all. Also if u turn air con on or any other things to get more load once again it don't make a diffrance.

It drives fine it only has this fault on idle (tickover) does any one else have this fault or know what could be causing it

Zackly the same as mine by the sound of it ... lumpy idle with no rev flutuation, tho can effect drivability if trying to crawl on idle (like around a slow car park or similar) which a torquey diesel should do p!ss easy :(

I was wondering if it was EGR related

Mine does it only when cold. I think it's the EGR that's clogged up and to be honest it's easy to take off and clean. Or get a EGR delete kit and get it coded out.

Not that I know of on my audi pd140 it's easy because its at the front of the engine easyly accessible

Where as my ibiza Cupra tdi pd160 it's a twa* becasue it's at the rear of the engine and very hard to access

It's literally 3 bolts pal (I think) however the rear one is a pain to get out. Look at this to see how it clogs up.

The pictorial by "Plantman" about 25 post's down is very good [B)] ... though I dont think I saw anything about how you get to a couple of the bolts that look virtually inaccessable holding the EGR to the manifold  ... there is obviously a way to do it, though I dont think I'll attemp it untill I find the answer first :p

High resistance in the injector loom can cause a rough idle as can partially blocked injectors. The egr can't be ruled out though. Checking the injector balance on VCDS will reveal if there is a fault in that area.
