PD150 Injector Pump Failure

Is this a common thing on PD150 ?

Reason i ask is i found 1 with a failed pump & i'd imagine with the amount being broken now would be easy to get hold of

The injectors themselves act as the high-pressure pump in the PD engine, so I guess you've got a failed low presure pump, or lift pump from the tank to the engine?

If this is the case then I can't see it being too expensive to replace. If the injectors are goosed though it will be expensive.

Also check camshaft isn't damaged as they are prone to it if the wrong engine oil is used, and this will affect running / fuel injection as the pump injectors are actuated by the camshaft.
