PD160 Air Intake on PD130

I know someone whos breaking a cupra and heard a good upgrade on my ibiza fr 1.9pd130 engines is to put a pd160 air intake kit on them, is this straight forward and is there anything else that needs to be brought with it to make it fit?

Darkside sell the upgrade kit thing, looks like it's the pipe and the intake cover bit that bolts to the grill.

It's a straight swap as long as you get the snorkel and pipe like R3k1355 suggested.

How much are they from TPS or Seat directly? Worth asking David @ SERE motors for a quote i think. That price from Darkside is eye watering, considering it doesn't include VAT or delivery, so youre looking at £130 + to your door!

I know these aren't that cheap from dealers anymore. Seat seem to have caught on

You could easily make an intake pipe with some ducting and original snorkel for a fraction of that price!

I remember fitting one to my Ibiza back in 2003 and it was something like £30 from Seat.
