No dyno print out atm =[
Had a remap done by EliteRemaps who claims 200bhp without DPF removal,
So im guessing it will be around the 205bhp mark.

I have got a 2.5" exhaust system fitted (Downpipe Back) & also a new pipercross filter.
Im hoping it will maybe reach 210bhp!

I will be going to GotBoost in Bridgend soon but sadly i will miss out on the SCN dyno day there as i will be away =[

Ok so i went back to ProSpeed Exhausts after work yesterday, To get the rear backbox removed!!!!! I got it removed because i could only hear a little bit of noise with back seats down =[

Anyways here are some pictures:

Have you got a vid of your exhaust at the moment? pulling away and stationary? as ive noted in the spotted section i wouldnt go for a straight through. Spotted a mk1 derv with a straight through and the closest i could find to the noise it made was this vid. Wait for when its stationary spraying water

As promised

Here are 2 videos, before & after on my PD170! =]

After:

Hope this helps

EDIT: It may sound quite loud on video, but inside the car sounds alot better, and i have tried testing going over 80MPH and no motorway drone!!!

That doesn't sound as loud as mine, ive also noticed tho yours has got the Pidgeon turbo whistle, never seen a PD170 with that before

One thing i will say is leave it a few weeks, drive with the rear parcel shelf out etc and listen to it, mine sounded amazing for a few weeks but after that i got tired with it.

With the full interior in you will never get a real idea how loud it is outside, so might sound loud outside but quiet inside

Yeh I have been driving with the back seats down and it sounds awesome! But if I get fed up I can easily put the seats back up and there will be very little noise unless I boot it!

I specifically asked for noise only when I hit hard on the gas =]
And I think he has provided me with this spec

Very happy with it hehe

EDIT: the noise only kicks in after 2.5k revs aslwell which is quite cool, I mean you can still town drive with no noise,
However I say no noise, you actually hear a louder turbo whistle going through the pipes ^^

Yeh it does look a good job! i think the difference might be that mine was 3" and yours is only 2.75" or 2.5"?

Yeh mines a 2.5" system as he recommended.
He said 2.5" and 3" no difference unless you are running 300+ bhp.
So I went for 2.5" as it's cheaper.

Will get a video of the car noise with seats down later if I get time =]

Sounds like it since thats the only difference between what yours had and what mine had ^^
Atleast we found out something new :p

And booked in next week saturday for my EGR blanking plate to be relocated to the back of the engine to prevent the napped pipe =]
I think im going to finally make the move to a forge shoftshifter aswell ^^

Is the turbo sound normal ??

By turbo sound you mean, the turbo whistle?
If so i would say yes, I havent change the turbo, only had stage 1 remap and panel filter.

Sounds a bit more whooshy and whistley because its a straight pipe no boxes to dampen the sound.

Hope this helps!

Neuspeed one for noise!

The other 2 are enclosed ones so will be quieter, ive got the Neuspeed P-Flo on my LCR, only difference is mine is a full kit (Pipe to turbo) where as that is just a small kit

how much does it cost to remove the box? I currently have a standard BTCC dual exhaust, could I just remove the centre box on mine? would it be worth it on standard system?

With the neuspeed I won't lose performance by any chance?
Mainly because it's not enclosed so it would suck up warm air?

Let me know
Cheers =]

ive been reading alot about this, Heat Soak is said not to affect them

My LCR feels more powerful with it on, i should of got Before and after RR done really but some makers claim upto 18bhp gains wth CAI this is of course on petrols
