You're doing it differently to me, i've done the steel plates parallel to the car and existing rails, whereas you're doing it across the car!

Eh?! You wont blunt the bits if you drill slowly with some oil! Ah well preference i suppose.

Think im going to do mine like yours when i can be bothered to get them out!

Did you get the steel the same size as mine?

I got 20"x4"x1/4". Only cost £25 too. I'm using the paint as a way of marking using a scribe and the repainting on Saturday hopefully if I cba lol. With yours did you bolt the plates to the seat or bolt the plate to chassis then bolt seat to that? Cause the box that runs with the body where it bolts to is slightly over my hole for the tt seats. I'll sort it in morning. I was out from 9:30-12.30 today doing it and Gunna do same tomorrow then finishing touches Saturday. Do you find you sit a lot closer to the dash now as the tt runners don't go back as far? I think I'm going to remove the stopper and make my own.

INCHES! HOW DARE YOU USE INCHES!

Well mine were roughly the same as that hah

Yeah mine cost £25 + VAT so £30

Yeah takes a long time doesn't it?

I marked it up against the seat, drilled and checked against seat. Then put the steel in the car and had to mark up where the holes should go (not easy!)

I think that's where if buggered it up, because not all the bolt holes line up 100%

Lmao nah only used it as was easier than saying 54mm for example lol harder to get Wong in inches lol. Exact same as me lol, soo difficult with the fronts as I had to drill three holes in the rear plate, one for bolt one for locator pin and one to chassis then put them in and get to the front holes which was hard cause the seat don't move far back! Mine arnt 100% lined up tried measuring but worked out to be harder than actually using bolt holes.

Yeah its a pain in the arse!

Also yeah in my Ibiza i had it as low and as far back as it goes and that was good for me (not because i wanted to look like a gansta but because i have long legs haha)

I have the TT's in as far back as possible and then redrilled some more holes about an inch further back which made it better.

It's still not as far back as i'd like but i've got used to it now.

Have you worked out how to use the height adjustment yet?

Mine didn't come with the adjustment lever as they were in a polo 6n. I take it you pull handle up and it tilts back via the hydraulic arm under seat if yours isnt working i take it pump is broken. Yea I drive with the Ibiza all way back and it's just about right, drive with seat reclined past b pillar purely for comfort, only drive upright for hard cornering! The armrest is the main reason for the relaxed position lmao. I actually got a driving caution from the plod for it apparently I can slide under the belt in an accident lmao.

Do your seats still move backwards/forwards & up/down?

Looking awesome, yet you still managed to leave all that stuff in the passengers side! :p :)

Haha yea was meant to use the metal polish on my exhaust today but CBa an the other things in bag are rain-x and dash polish which was also meant to be use today lol. And a bovril which was supposed to be drank ages ago lol. Yea seats still do everything normal
