Picked up my new car!

Collected my new car tonight:

'R' 1997 Ibiza 2.0 16v GTI in tornado red, 67k, 1 previous owner from new.

Bad Points:
Alloys all need refurbing as they are bubbling.
Mahoosive din't on the backend (you can see it on the pic)
Slight dint on the drivers side wing
Various scratches due to wear n tear (its 10 years old for god sake!)
Slight bubbling on the boot lid
Passenger side electric window motor is on its way out


Plans:
All the body work sorting is the first thing
Alloys refurbed and sprayed white or may purchase mk3 20v turbo wheels.
Dropped 40mm front and back
Colour coded door handels and skirts
Cat-Back system
Tints

Reason i bought this particular car was because the interior is in mint condition and the engine has been serviced every 12 months since new. Body work is in abit of a state but with about £500 spending, it should be tip top!

i would not class that as tornado red, however i may be compley wrong looks more of a burgandy colour to me

i would class my colour as tornado red as its more of a classic red colour

still looks good though, give it a good wash+polish+wax and it should come up mint

oh and i would get some better headlight bulbs as well, did so myself and for 20 quid it made a good difference

Very nice colour in the sun when all cleaned and polished, such a beautiful colour!!

The colours called Volcano Red apparently, my Cordies the same colour looks like you've found a nice motor there!

Looks like Memory Red to me, remember my GTI of the same age and spec was the same colour. If it turns pink in sunlight its definately Memory Red!

I added it to the colour list on SCN

I haven't seen one in that colour before, although Mk2 Ibizas are pretty rare in themselves anyway lol.
