pics of 17"s and 18"s

I am desperately trying to find pictures of the standard 17s that come with the mk2 fr and the "upgrade" 18s so I can compare them and see which ones are on the car I have put a deposit on. I was told they were 18's but I want to check (without taking out a tape measure when I pick up the car!). Any help appreciated.

Stephan, no need for a tape measure if you go and look at the car, look on the wall of the tyre, if it is 18, chances are the tyre size will be 225/40/18 or 17 or along those lines, indicating the tyre size Unfortunately I don't have any pics

Have a look on the seat uk website and use the Spec my seat option, you can see all three options for the FR on there.

Here's a point of note for you...Orion 18 alloys from the dealer are £233.45 each incl VAT. If you go through the options catalogue you'll find the better looking Seat sport wheels for around £130 each. Doesn't matter till you consider replacing one of them like I am (was)

Thanks Eltawater, that's cleared it up. The weird thing is they don't look a whole lot different in size. When I saw them in the flesh I thought they looked amazing and presumed they were 18s. There still seems quite a large gap under the arches even in the larger ones, no?

That is correct - and why alot still drop the Mk2 on a set of Eibach Sportlines.

Does that firm up the ride even more? I don't think I could cope with that!

It is firm, but reported as actually making the ride nicer than the standard FR setup.
Also dropping the arches onto the wheels and removing most of that gap !
