Hi guys,

Just received my Pioneer DEH 3200UB this afternoon from Dynamic Sounds.

Was a simple plug and play effort (thank god) but I'm having troubles with the fascia (fills the gaps at either side)

The fascia won't fit over the headunit and if I take the headunits plastic trim off (surrounding the removable panel) then put the fascia on, it leaves a gap where the plastic trim should be.

I got the fascia off Ebay not Halfrauds for obvious reasons.

Has anyone had this problem?

PICS-

Thanks in advance

Remove the cage and feed the cage through the fascia first, then push the cage into the hole, with the fascia attached and it will sit correctly.

Caught me out the fist time i swapped head units.

Sorry to being this up again but just to be clear (I have seen similar threads on here)

My new headunit won't save the settings after it turns on and off so do I swap these two wires (yellow and red) by PULLING them out with a bit of force? (pic below)

I'm afraid the yellow wire is thicker and the bullet at the end is larger than the red one. So when I put the red into the yellow it's too small for the connection and vice versa. Pic below

Any ideas? I really appreciate your help.

Noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

Put them back as they were.
You separate the bullet connectors further down the loom.

Wicked choice mate, I have the same head unit in mine!!! Play about with it, so many settings to get the sound you want. My standard speakers sound like they have been injected with some life!

Oh that's good to hear mate. I have not had a chance to play with it yet, apart from the "loudness" setting and "bass booster" ;)

Did you get the Pioneer CD-IU50 cable? To enable iphone/iphone control through the unit?

You can also get THIS which is pretty cool ;)

Any little tricks with it I should know about?

I didnt realise how good the LCR speakers were :-o Matches the interior nicely too [B)]

I've got the DEH 3100UB and my iPhone plugs into the USB through a standard USB sync cable so I'd imagine yours should be the same. The 3100UB is quality, so I can imagine the 3200 is better still. Just be aware if you're using an iPhone with iOS 4.x it can be a bit temperamental for some reason.

I did get the cable, found one on ebay for £10 :D

So far I have set it to the Custom Setting and within the Graphic EQ I have set it to 100 -1 which means I can turn it up pretty loud. Still getting to grips with it myself!

I agree it does suit the car, looks ace at mid night in my opinion!!

Not good guys....

Just as I was pushing the unit in with everything ready to go a bloody fuse blew!!! The 15amp "radio" fuse, I heard it pop too!

I replaced it and it still won't work.

I'm totally gutted about this so any help would be coolio

Yes the one at the end of the dash.

I have checked the one on the headunit and it's fine.

I probably should say, when I was footering about with the wires that go into the unit, the car kept locking and unlocking itself, this was with the key out the ignition. the alarm went off a couple of times too. The connections within the bullet connectors may have made contact with the headunit cage. They are properly covered now though with the plastic sleeves.

Thanks Lee

So all the bullets are covered?
Even the blue/white iirc for the remote wire?

Chances are you replaced it and it blew again (have you checked?)

Stereo out and have a good look around.

Also with no stereo in try another fuse.

Yes they are all covered.

I have checked to see if my new fuse is ok and it is.

What do you mean by -"Also with no stereo in try another fuse."? May I point out the only thing that seems to be affected is the radio/headunit.

Such a pain! I just want my beats back : (

Thanks again Lee.

Nope.

I took it out disconnected it plugged it back in and nothing happened at all.

Is there any chance I could have friend the unit? Or would the fuse have blown on the unit to prevent this?

Would it be worth me taking the unit into an audio specialists, asking them to plug it in to see if the unit is ok? (not powered form the car)

Thanks.
