As above i have been looking into buying this induction kit for my seat leon fr 2.0 tfsi but wondered if anybody had fitted it or a equivelent induction kit. i think i may have to discard my engine cover but if possible i wanted to avid that wondered if there is a way to just remove the standard air filter and attach the induction intake hose filter it seems like the best thing to do but if anyone has pics or tips it would be a great help :funk:

cheers guys :)

Why would you want to keep the engine cover? Its a piece of crap that when not fitted correctly damages the fuel pump, and realistically, all it does is retain engine heat.

Many people on here have the Dbilas kit which requires the engine cover to be removed. Some others have EVOMS and others Forge Kits.

Andy avoid throwing away your money on useless stuff. Buy a proper cold intake and to be safe stick to popular solutions - they are popular for a reason! A v-flow or dbilas would be the best options for your FR.

thanks guys well to be honest im new to this whole power full car malarci  my last car was i pug 206 so cheap induction kits were the way  but loving the new power :funk:

likeing the look of these seen a site for the two of them

http://www.vag-tuner.com/acatalog/Race_Intake.html

do you guys know if theses should fit my mrk 2??

likeing the look of the Dbilas in this site as it utilises the ram effect of the front grille which would look abit pointless with out the cover?

how would it work for sensors which are attached to the engine cover though?

could always go for stage 2 on this page??

i have my car booked in for a sport car (200 cell) and cat back powerflow system getting it custom made to the way i want it to soun/look at the tail? saw this deal and hear milltek are the buisness. is it the name your paying for or is there anyone who has a powerflow that knows someone with a milltek as interested to see the difference in the 2?

to cut cost i suppose i could go for this deal and still get my 200 cell sports cat from power flow

not to sure though

:help:

FR is a powerful car and is tuneable as much as a GTI is tunable. Follow the standard recipes and you won't regret it.

Recipe ingredients for up to stage 2:

1. CAI - dbilas intake is pretty much perfect for your car.
2. Full Milltek exhaust - downpipe with HJS 200cel catalyst + cat back (non-res for sound and twin tailpipes for OEM looks)
3. Forge DV with yellow spring

The OEM engine cover has nothing more than the badge. The only sensor you need from the cover is the MAF which is removable and pretty much any cold air intake out there has a provision for it. With the items above and a good software map you are looking around 280-290 bhp

that sounds spot on to me pretty much as far as i want to take for now :)

have had stage 1 remap and she fulls but want to remove some lag so think sports cat will defo help and the rest well hmm she will be hissing and humming like a bird.

guy that did my remap was really helpfull he was swaying me of getting a dump valve saying that it does more harm than good in most cases he said that factory one is better but tend to agree with you but he said get a desent one if i decide to go down that root forge ones i have seen are nice so may be tempted

have also been toled that common for downpipe to set of engine managment lights. not sure if its just cause it wasnt going to be milltek but will look closer into that?

cheers for the info mate great appreciate!!

You need the Forge DIVERTER valve, not dump valve. Its a direct replacement of the currenty diverter valve which is prone to failing, causing loss of boost. My OEM DV failed twice before I got the Forge diverter Valve.

Who is the remap by?

The Exhaust, should not bring up and engine lights at all.

the guy came up tomy house and did my motor he was top notch was told by turriff tyres up near where i live that they could do sport cat and cat back for me no problem but with all the o2 censors bla bla bla that they would not sujjest down pipe put me of tbh as i think downpipe is one of the most important parts along with cat helps the flow.......

you think milltek downpipe would be ok

p.s they told me this about power flow exhaust system not milltek!

The OEM DV is OK if you are stock or up to stage 1. For stage 2 and up the OEM DV will not be able to hold the pressure due to the increased boost. Furthermore the increased boost will put too much stress to the rubber diaphragm which eventually will rupture - unless you upgrade to the new OEM valve. In any case the forge DV is the best option for a tuned car.

True - diverter valve not dump valve - wrong typing.

If you buy a true Milltek downpipe with a 200cel HJS catalyst I am 100% sure you are not going to see any xmas tree on your dash board. Go for a full Milltek with a non-res cat back for true sports sound. Milltek is well known and respected by everyone involved with cars and car tuning so probably your car dealer will not be able to blame Milltek exhaust for anything.
