Need new tyres this week and I'm so rubbish at deciding!!!
225 40 R18

Pirelli p zero rosso
Goodyear eagle f1 asymmetric 2
Continental sport contact 5

All around the £115-125 mark per tyre where I'm looking but just cant decide ;0(

I'm tempted to stick to the pirellis as there factory fit but sick of the grumbling from the back and also the lack of side wall protector if it was needed.

The Goodyear and continental are both good in write ups but will they be as good on the car on the road as the original pirellis........

Continental SportsContact 5P all the way.
I used to be Pirelli years ago but would do nothing but Continentals now!!

Same here - I have Conti Sport Conti 3's and they are awesome compared to the Pirelli's. I think they wear a bit quicker on the front but that could be because I have so much more grip now and less of the traction control kicking in! Blackcircles.com had the best price that I could find.

I've just had a set of Rosso's fitted on the front and compared to the Bridgstone Potenza's they are a huge improvement

I've just ordered two Vredestein Ultrac Sessantas as I fancied a change from the RE050s I need to replace. Will let you know how it goes after fitting on Friday.

The Goodyears are the best summer tyre I've ever used, and I've use a few. They definitely show how little grip my winters are currently offering in these balmy temperatures!

Also need new front tyres as got a bulge in one so might aswell change both fronts as they guy i bought it off had put Hankook Ventus v12 on the front and Dunlop's on the back.

But didn't know what all round tyres to go for on my Cupra K1 as i have no experience and whats the best place to get a deal on them from?

Skip pirellis. Other 2 are relatively new tyres, you won't get fair review on them. But according to magazine tests they are both damn good

On my second lot of Pirelli pzero rosso and find them good ,down to personal preference on tyre, had the Vredestein ultrac on my last car and they were good but didn't last long.

Yeah I quite like pirelli too.
A bid noisy but last 10 - 12k
Never had much problem with grip. I tried vredstein on my last car and they didn't last long and upset the handling slightly.
Think the tyre walls are too soft.

The lack of rim protectors on the pirellis make them look so square and boxey when the cars parked up!
I'm being well fussy haha

10-12k??
I am set to get about 16-18k out of the ones i have on based on current tyre wear!!

I have Dunlop on my Octavia PD130 and I get between 20k and 25k on my fronts and around 50k on the rears.

I had Pirellis before and great grip, but a bit soft, didn't last long and were OK in the wet.

My favourite tyres have been continentals, similar grip to the pirelli, but much better in the wet and lasted longer.

Well done just over 8k and I'd say I'll be lucky to get half again.
Even on my last fr Pirelli was 10 - 12k but my vredstein only done 8k

I would say, change your front tyres for the rear and try and get all 4 to be changed at the same time and try the continental's ... it will be worth it!!
