as smoki says, not a major difference when driving but when parking a turning the steering when slowly moving...its not stopped knocking and clunking!

its a 10 minute job so pull ya finger out and get it done!

Hmmm... this could be the answer to the squeak/ clunk I can’t seem to locate.

The steering wheel on my LCR has a few mm left to right play which is most noticeable when stationary. I've not had the car for long but I don’t remember noticing it previously.

Would this fix my problem too? Or can anyone who has the same problem give me some idea as to what it could be?

I also drive a Ford Focus, so the cupra's steering in comparison is rubbish.

I'm gonna try this tomorrow, sounds like this Mod/repair?? coud be a hidden gem for all MK3 owners!!

Aren't these bolts supposed to be a exact torque setting to allow the steering rack movement in the event of an accident?
