Alright chaps

I've finally pulled the trigger and bought myself a Seat Ibiza Cupra TDI.

Its fitted with the standard Alana stereo which can play mp3 cds. However, I'd like to play mp3's using my usb pendrive.

I've seen this device :

"Seat USB SD Aux In Interface Adaptor with Quadlock Connector"

From carstereosforu, I cant post the link I'm afraid.

Has anyone installed this in their car and if so are they any good ?

Cheers !!

Hi

Thanks for the reply. Much appreciated. Looking at the FM transmitters online. Lots to choose from, this could be the solution I'm looking for. Thanks for the advice !!

You'd probably get better quality burning them all onto a CD, that's what I do. I've got a couple of CDRWs that I just rotate through making a new one every so often and you can use all the steering wheel controls if you have them that way

Hi FR Matt

Yeah, that's what I do now. Loathed to buy a new head unit as I'll loose the steering wheel controls and the matching speedo illuminations when the lights are on.

Didn't consider of the likely loss of sound quality with the fm adapter.

Cheers !

I'm guessing you also have the aux in then if you have the facelift Cupra like me. Just make up some mp3 CD's then if a new album comes out stick it on your mp3 player or phone and play it using the aux in.

I got new stereo as it was easier.i don't miss the steering wheel controls at all. So much better plugging flash drive or iPod in!!
