surely you would need to be pushing 2 bar plus to get 450bhp?1.5 bar would give you high 300's i would of thought!if you had 2.5 litre engine or bigger then it would be possible. running 1bar it feels like 300bhp so im kinda wondering how an extra .5bar is going to give me 450hp! but lhoping for the best!
lol it's about time i got something right! turbo on picking car up friday then got to do a few hundred miles to bed new pistons/rings in.once mapped i'll pm you matea gt3071r at 2 bar on a 2l evo engines makes 450-460, a gt3076 at 2 bar makes 500-550bhp. So yes you are right steve.
got that tubby on yet mate?
with a bigger turbo you have to learn how to drive it again.change gear too early and you'll be off boost losing you time.i got my 12.2 by nailing it in every gear almost hitting the limiterI was running 630cc injectors @ 3bar until today morning when I realised it should be at 4bar
JBS do a jbs30 conversion and use the gt3071r, orig map sensor, 550cc injectors etc etc and it makes 450hp so I assumed it was at 1.5bar... mind u that is with a true 1.9block, i dont think mine is!

And plus the effiency range is 1.5bar where it flows most so i thought that would be where it makes most power.. im no expert!
I got a full 3" mandrel system and now the car holds 1bar with boost controller off but with the 2.5" system after 3" D/P it holded 0.9bar, suprised how much better it feels and runs!
Well 20th october is my make or break day! I have everything sortd this time for a proper remapping session, and using the TDI 3bar map sensor so I dont care what boost I run as long I get 450bhp!
I went pod last night and did worse than with my k04.. I did a 13.4 with my k04 and I did 14.2 with this setup
It was the crap rubber im using and the first time I launched the car in 1st gear so just couldnt get it right! kept spinning 1,2,3
Running 1bar this turbo is too laggy and crap in my opinion! I either bogged down or spun and changed gear so was way out of the power band.
I really want to up the boost but am stopping myself incase something goes wrongso just have to wait till it goes back to pros.

way too early mate, take it to the redline and change just before it starts popping and banging.your rev limiter would be 7200-7500 i would of thought.Yeah I know what u mean!
I was shifting at 6k so that didnt help one bit!
What revs are the limiter at?? Is it something that the mappers can adjust?
and in 4wd mate, having grip doesn't stop turbo lagif you change before you hit limiter you will be in 'lag central' in a fwd
engines rebuilt, new rings etc and new garrett gt3076r is on but when they fired it up there's oil escaping from the centre of the turbosteve..when are you next runnning? i would like to see how our cars compare up the strip
you would leave me like a bat out of hell.....untill i find the tarmac lol
