Getting really poor MPG (19-22) Car has de-cat, forge dump valve and pipercross cone air filter.
I have tried my brothers OBD2 and it reads previous faults and cleared them fine but I know my abs and traction control is faulty as theres no sensor in the passenger wheel hub and someone has taken the dash bulbs out!.
Also my elm27 obd2 wont work so I need a cheap vag con cable to see if anythings wrong.
could someone please point me in the direction to a good known working brand off ebay I dont want a house full of OBD2's lol
Many thanks

Not sure on the cable, but does the car heat up to 90C on the temp gauge in about 5 mins and then stay there? If it takes ages to get to 90C or drops away from 90C when you're coasting down hill etc then your thermostat is probably stuck open and needs replacing. It's a common problem and will cause a big drop in MPG

yep when I got the car and drove it home 30 mins the temp never got above 60 I knew this was no good so I sorted this with a new thermostat and temp sensor now it warns nicly to 90 and dosent move.

Thanks for the link Lee69 I must be getting worse at searching lol
