I really want to upgrade my brakes but i don't want to go brembo, nothing against brembo at all but i just want something different, does anybody know if any porsche brake's can be fitted to my mk3 cupra ?? i don't know much about brakes as you can probably tell lol, I found these on ebay

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&rd=1&item=4650728302&ssPageName=STRK:MEWA:IT

but i don't know if they'll fit and i would prefer red one's, thanks any help would br great

i should know this my family being so involved with porsche and all but i am afraid i have no idea, hmm it wouldnt suprise me if they were brembo but i dont think they are

I have a AMD porsche 993 turbo front kit fitted to my LCR - they are made by Brembo
AMD, Bill Brockbank, ECS (imported by JBR performance) among others, do various Porsche kit for front fitment but beware because it`s not so much a matter of getting a brake kit to fit, more the problem of getting wheels to fit over the brake kit!! - often spacers are needed - it can get expensive so check your clearances carefuly before you buy!!:)

porsche brakes are made by brembo and mount identically, although i dont think the brake hose is interchangeable. ive had 996 brakes mounted on my ICR brackets.

not really not a big gap in the spokes

So I can fit 996 brakes ? what size are they, 305mm ?

There are several different fitments of brakes on Porsches (axial, and radial bolts as well as different spacing), and of offset between the disk centreline and caliper mounting (so there are multiple size of bells). For example there are 2 types on the 944, one is compatible with the 993 Turbo style (not sure about lesser 993 or 996 models), but GT3 is different again.

To my knowledge they are all made by Brembo, though.

On a Porsche with a D90 you can't really see the caliper, but I guess mine have always been black.
