I'd swap standard pads for greenstuff if they haven't sorted themselves after a few miles.. Greenstuff are beded in good enough for normal road use in seconds and stand much higher temps if you are really going for it, plus are totally effective at ambient as well.

I can only go on what I personally know on my other car,

ford&factor OEM pads - serious brake fade and total pad glazing
EBC - was like fitting bigger discs all over again, no fade breaking doing 0-140-0-140-0 (mph)

Also always fitted EBC on my bikes and they were spot on there - although that's a different kettle of fish due to weight etc.

Anyone that I spoke to who had brake issues with glazing pads or fade, changing to EBC fixed it, but that is hearsay. As I said I can only go on what I personal know for definite.

Interested to hear these bad opinions from people that tried them as I was going to fit them to my ibiza next time they need replacing.

What is the total slave cylinder area of the old calipers versus the new calipers? A mismatch can give the symptoms you mentioned. You can change the pedal fulcrum point to compensate a little by giving more leverage, however I've not looked in depth at the seat setup to see if it was possible (only on my kit car).

hope they are bedding in nicely now

but as he says above, it can be like trying to blow up a car tyre with a bike pump if you get it too far out

ebc greens on an ibiza cupra is a seriously bad move
way way way too soft a pad

106's and stuff maybe, with no power and no weight but... cupra?

I'm a heavy weight in kit cars, 880Kilos with 250 bhp, the ibiza is about 1200 Kilos.

Don't forget though that a soft pad will typically give more friction, it just wears faster.

What's the recommended pad then?
