Not sure where you guys are servicing your cars but £400 for a cambelt and waterpump change? I bought all my bits (Cambelt, waterpump, tensioner, oil and filter) from the VW dealer and that was about £150 and then the labour to fit was about £60. Cambelt and tensioner from VW was only something like £50-£80.
i thought earlier in the post you said you wouldnt mate?lol
its 4k hes after with a set of alloys also.
it needs-
the 60k service(as of earlier post)-parts £150 plus fitting
new tyres-vary in £££
new wing mirror-about 50 quid
tax-220 of something along those lines
mot-50 quid but he might chuck it in also
I just got my water pump/cambelt done and paid £200 with genuine parts including labour, so
don't let that put you off too much. I'd only really be weary of hidden crash damage. Engines
are pretty damn strong in standard form. Lift up the boot carpet and look around that general area
for anything iffy or any evidence of repair/bent floor pan etc. Oh and the radiators are on the piss anyway lol, it looks odd when you see the rad at that angle.
